Svenska Spel stops advertising its online casino

The state operator of the Swedish gambling market, Svenska Spel, which occupies 53% of the state’s gambling market, has abandoned all advertising for its online casino on its media channels. The company made this decision after actively discussing various ways to protect users of gambling establishments, bethub reports.
According to Patrick Hofbauer, CEO of Svenska Spel, gambling establishments are very dangerous for their users. They are far more dangerous than any other form of play. It is because of this that Svenska Spel refuses to advertise online casinos and encourages other operators in the Swedish gambling market to do so.
“We hope that other operators in the Swedish gambling sector will follow our example. We want as many companies as possible to support our decision and refuse to advertise online casinos. This would indicate that in Sweden, the gambling industry is very serious about protecting users, ”said Patrick Hofbauer.
