UK online casino operators fined £ 4.5m

In Britain, the Gambling Commission (UKGC) fined four online casino operators £ 4.5 million after investigations. The fines were issued after the UKGC found that operators did not adequately protect their users from gambling addiction and because of weak protection against money laundering.
As reported, now the operator InTouch Games Limited is obliged to pay 2.2 million pounds to the budget, the operator Betit Operations Limited will pay 1.4 million pounds, and MT Secure Trade is fined 700 thousand pounds. The operator BestBet Limited will pay the least fine – about 231 thousand pounds.
It is also reported that in 2019, the UKGC, after conducting investigations, revoked the licenses to operate in Britain for five online casino operators. And for 1.5 years, the Commission checked the work of 123 online casino operators operating in the UK.
