Over 150 casinos are closed in Moldova

On the night of October 23, 2016, over 150 Moldova’s gambling institutions were closed as a result of the inspections due to the blatant number of legislation violations. 65 casino licenses have already been withdrawn by the license chamber.

As part of the fight against corruption, representatives of the National Center recorded such violations as falsification of "electronic licensing" and fraud.

As a result of illegal activities, the state budget suffers catastrophic material losses. The amount of financial damage Moldova is estimated at 738225 million USD. This case is now under the jurisdiction of UBB (Anti-Corruption Office) and NCBC (National Center for Combating Corruption). Searches of suspects in corruption were also held, several members of the leadership and Eduard hadia were detained – Deputy Chairman of the Licensed Chamber.

Slot machines are forbidden to have multiply public places: markets, transitions, train stations, public transport stops. Two hundred meters – this is the minimum distance from gambling establishments to social objects. The area of ​​the territory of the halls for slot machines should be at least 500-tons of square meters, the number of slot machines must be at least twenty. The area of ​​casino, respectively, must be at least 1000 and square meters, at least two rouletons must be represented in the casino and at least six gaming tables.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Moldova, it was proposed to connect electronic equipment to the fiscal system to simplify tax control.
